What is Valor?
Valor is a youth basketball program for girls to learn proper fundamentals and strengthen those skills by playing on a tournament team. The total time involved will vary from team to team. It depends on how much you want to do and how much your team wants to travel. The group (parents and players) sits down and decides this together. Decisions for the program are made by a committee of volunteers made up of parents and coaches.
You've heard it before, fundamentals are the key to success. That is why we will be starting the year with four Valor (fundamental) Nights. We will be again be offering this for girls K-8th grade at Northwest High School in the fall of 2019. Our goal for the K-2nd grades is to get them in the gym, a ball in their hands, having fun with basketball to develop an early love for the game. While we also want that for our 3rd-8th graders, they will have an opportunity to further strengthen their skills and teamwork by playing on a tournament team. The cost of Valor Nights is $20 and includes a t-shirt.
